Sportsman competitors in seven categories earn points leading to 2001 NHRA Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series championships.
WHERE: The Colonel's Brainerd International Raceway, Brainerd, Minn. Track is located a few miles north of the Brainerd area off Highway 371. The track is located on the east side of the highway.
WHEN: Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 16-19.
SCHEDULE: Thursday, Aug. 16-Gates open at 8 a.m. Qualifying and sportsman eliminations, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 17-Gates open at 8 a.m. Qualifying and sportsman time trials, 9:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 2:45 and 5:45 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 18-Gates open at 8 a.m. Qualifying and sportsman time trials 9:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 12:45 and 3:45 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 19-Gates open at 8 a.m. Pre-race ceremonies, 10 a.m. FINAL ELIMINATIONS begin at 11 a.m.
TELEVISION: Saturday, Aug. 18, ESPN will televise two hours of early qualifying highlights at 7 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 19, ESPN2 will televise two hours of final round coverage at 4 p.m.
