Extra credit

The following two area students plan to enroll at the University of St. Thomas this fall: Heather Ziebell, the daughter of Laurie Ziebell and Mick Ziebell both of Baxter, plans to major in pre-medicine; and Matthew Grunewald, the son of Joan and Bill Grunewald of Merrifield, plans to major in international business. He received a renewable $850 recognition scholarship from the university's academic merit. He is a 2000 graduate of the St. Paul Learning Center.

Michael Johnson and Brian Otremba, both of Brainerd, have been named to the 1999-2000 spring semester president's list at Northwest Technical College in Wadena. Both majored in construction electricity.
