LAKEVILLE (AP) -- A motorist was critically wounded Saturday after being stabbed during an argument with another driver who thought he had cut him off, police said.
A 26-year-old Apple Valley man was stabbed several times during the early-morning road rage argument in this Twin Cities suburb. Lakeville police Lt. Thomas Vonhof said a 20-year-old Rosemount man was in police custody.
The victim and the suspect were in separate cars with other people when one driver thought the other driver cut him off or swerved in front of him. An argument started, and occupants of one car threw beer cans at the other, Vonhof said.
When the cars came to a stoplight about 1 a.m., two men from each car jumped out and started fighting, Vonhof said.
Lakeville police Officer Rick Bussler came upon the fight in the street just seconds after it started.
