A 27-year-old Brainerd man was arrested on charges of fleeing and DWI after leading police officers on pursuit in downtown Brainerd Saturday.

The pursuit started about 1 a.m. at Front and Eighth streets, when officers attempted to stop the suspect because he was driving without headlights.

During the chase a Baxter Police Department squad car was damaged, though no one was injured.

The pursuit ended at Southeast 16th and Norwood streets.
