The Grand Casino Mille Lacs and Cuyuna Country Club will host a 2-person best ball tournament noon Aug. 29 at the Cuyuna Country Club in Deerwood.
The entry fee of $75 for CCC members or $100 for non-members includes a welcome gift, lunch, golf with cart and one ticket for postgame prize drawings.
Participation will be limited to the first 72 teams. Deadline for registration is Aug. 22. Players must have a valid USGA handicap.
The payout will be to first through fifth places in both net and gross. There will be proximity games on each hole along with postgame drawings that feature night stays at Grand Casino, a trip to Arizona, area golf packages, Twins, Timberwolves and Wild tickets and more.

Espeseth fires 88
Levi Espeseth of Merrifield shot an 88 to place 47th Tuesday in the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Players' Cup event at the Chaska Town Course.
Jake Miller of Woodbury fired a 73 for medalist honors.
A wacky tourney scheduled
The Wacky Hacker fundraiser will be held Aug. 28 at the Pierz Municipal Golf Course.
The tournament benefits the Faith in Action program at Horizon Health.
Concluding the event will be the Duffer Drop, where 400 golf balls will be dropped from a boom truck. The ball that goes in the hole or closest to the hole will win the grand prize of $1,000. Second place will be $500. Tickets for the Duffer drop are $20.
