Don Green and Doris Moede combined for a net score of 65 to win "Blind Partners" competition during couples night at the Brainerd Country Club.

30 years ago (1975)

For only the second time since the Minnesota Department of Employment Services began computing labor trends on Brainerd in 1948, employment there dropped during the month of July. The decrease was 89.

Temperatures headed for another trip well into the 90s today with continuation of an August heat wave that brought readings well above 100 in South Dakota.
