APPLE VALLEY (AP) -- With a year and a half left in his term, Gov. Jesse Ventura made a passing reference Friday to seeking another four years in office.
Ventura lamented the fact that he had to censor what he wanted to say on his weekly "Lunch with the Governor" radio program because he was governor.
"In some ways, I can't wait for about five-and-a-half years from now when I can go back on the air and give them the real 'Jesse the Body' when I'm done," Ventura said.
It was unclear if Ventura's comment on Friday was a slip of the tongue or a tease for reporters.
His spokesman, John Wodele, said the comment didn't indicate Ventura was running again and that the governor wouldn't make that decision until next year.
"Maybe it just shows the confidence he has that he would be re-elected again if he were to run," Wodele said.
