PIERZ -- Andrew F. Gall, 95, Pierz, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.
He was born Jan. 22, 1906, in Sleepy Eye to Andrew and Anne Gall. He grew up in Sleepy Eye. He married Isabella (Zormeier) on Oct. 26, 1926, in Milwaukee, Wis. They lived in Milwaukee until moving to Buckman in 1927. They farmed in Buckman and the Little Rock area from 1927 until moving to Pierz in 1966. He worked road construction from 1966 until 1993. They moved into the Rose Court Apartments in Pierz in 1993 where he lived at the time of his death. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Norbert Gall, Mora, Francis Gall, Nevis, and Herbert Gall, Pine City; a daughter, Marie Anderson, Sartell; five brothers, Father Sylvester Gall, Sartell, Mathew and Carl Gall, both of Milwaukee, Ewald and John Gall, both of Pierz; two sisters, Marie Baron, Royalton, and Clara Gall, Los Angeles; 55 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
A son, Bernard Gall; four brothers, Wendlen, Joseph, Urban and Edward Gall; and three sisters, Anna, Roslin and Zeta Gall, died earlier.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz with the Rev. Gerald Dalseth officiating.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today, with a Christian Mothers Rosary at 4:30 p.m., parish prayers at 7 p.m. and Knights of Columbus prayers at 8:30 p.m., and from 8-10 a.m. Monday at the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz.
