GRAND BLANC, Mich. (AP) -- Kenny Perry, a solid golfer on the PGA Tour since 1987, wants to be more than just steady.
He was spectacular at the Buick Open on Friday.
Perry tied the tournament nine-hole record en route to an 8-under 64 and a three-stroke lead after the second round of the Buick Open on Friday.
Perry had a 14-under 130 total on the Warwick Hills course.
The cut was made at 4 under, the lowest ever in the 43 years of the Buick Open.
