Riverside Union's anniversary celebration will be 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the church, located 8.5 miles south of the Crow Wing County fairgrounds on County Road 45. At 3 p.m. there will be a testimonial program for people to share their memories of the church from the last 100 years.

Pancake breakfast planned for Sunday

HILLMAN - Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hillman will have a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Cost is $5 for adults; children under 10, $2.50.

Aitkin Area Christian Women's Club

AITKIN - The Aitkin Area Christian Women's Club will meet from 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday at the American Legion Club in Aitkin. Village missionary Nathan Sahlberg of Duluth will be the speaker. Zion Lutheran Church activities

Family Night Out at Zion Lutheran Church will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday with food, games and a dunk tank. No cost to attend.

"Quest for Truth - Jesus: The Way, The Truth, The Life" vacation Bible school will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday through Friday for children three-years-old through sixth grade. Suppers will be served at 5:30 p.m.

Farewell services planned at Trinity Lutheran

Trinity Lutheran Church of Brainerd will be hosting a farewell service for Kari Casper. Casper has been serving as intern at Trinity for the past year. The service will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Casper will be preaching her final sermon on "Resting in the Psalms." She will be returning to Luther Seminary in St. Paul for her final year before being ordained.

Following the service, coffee and cake will be served in the fellowship hall.

Heartland Alliance Church to celebrate

Travelers Quartet

BAXTER - The Heartland Alliance Church will celebrate a Missions Emphasis with Jason and Tracey Whitlock on Sunday. Morning worship begins at 9:30 a.m.

The Whitlocks will be sharing the word of God as well as telling about their ministry with Youth With a Mission. This will be followed by the all church picnic on the church grounds.

The Whitlocks have served with Youth With A Mission for 19 years. They've had the opportunity to travel to many nations such as Nepal, Mongolia, India, Romania, Bulgaria, Mexico, Belize, Grenada and St. Croix. Currently they are starting a Youth With A Mission ministry in West Virigina.

Travelers Quartet to perform

MALMO - The Travelers Quartet from St. Cloud will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Malmo Free Church. The Travelers have been singing in Minnesota churches for more than 30 years. Their program is a blend of God's word, music and humor, singing songs in the style of the Imperials and Blackwoods to music of the Gaither Vocal Band.
