Highway 210 will open to four lanes of traffic Friday through the city of Brainerd to accommodate visitors to the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at the Brainerd International Raceway, the Minnesota Department of Transportation reported.

Motorists are reminded that eastbound and westbound Highway 210 is detoured between Eighth Street and 13th Street Southeast until crews complete paving and striping operations.

On Thursday night motorists should be prepared for intermittent closures at the intersection of Highway 210 and 13th Street Southeast during paving operations.

Beginning Monday motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures between Sixth Street and Second Avenue Northeast as crews finish remaining concrete work, permanent striping and landscaping operations.

CSAH 49/Wise Road work under way

Preparation work for the construction of additional turn and bypass lanes is under way on Wise Road, the Crow Wing County Highway Department reported.

Preliminary bituminous operations will be occurring on some of the shoulder areas. Flaggers are on-site and will direct traffic intermittently as necessary.

During these operations, motorists should plan for one lane traffic and minor delays as crews put on leveling and final wearing courses between Highway 371 and Crow Wing County Road 3. Anderson Bros. Construction of Brainerd is the prime contractor on the project.

Weather permitting, the surfacing operations are expected to be completed before Labor Day. Final pavement markings and minor shouldering work will be done in September.
