Crosslake Art Club show planned

CROSSLAKE - The Crosslake Art Club's 23rd annual Art Show will be from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday-Saturday at the Crosslake Community Center.

Admission is free.

Works by more than 40 artists will be on display and for sale. Door prizes will be drawn hourly. Demonstrations will be held twice daily.

Demonstrations will be offered by the following artists.

Laurel Laborde (watercolor), 11 a.m. Thursday.

Kathy Kovala (watercolor), 1 p.m. Thursday.

Bill Grange (wheel-thrown pottery), 11 a.m. Friday.

This watercolor by Bill Grange depicts the headwaters of the Mississippi River at Itasca State Park.

Donna Maves (watercolor), 1 p.m. Friday.

Chris Smieja (watercolor), 11 a.m. Saturday.

Phyllis Frankum (watercolor), 1 p.m. Saturday.

Microscopic images featured at Gallery 119

"Viewing the Invisible: Scanning Microscopic Images" by Marilyn Koering is on display this month at Gallery 119 in the Franklin Arts Center in Brainerd.

This black-and-white photo exhibit will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays-Fridays and this Saturday as part of the Franklin's Second Saturdays.

A children's activity, "Discovering the Invisible," will be from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday.

Traveling photo exhibit to visit Q Gallery

The American Society of Photographers' Traveling Loan Collection will be featured from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at The Q Gallery in the Franklin Arts Center in Brainerd. The ongoing exhibit will then be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The exhibit will feature more than 30 images created in 2006 by professional photographers across America.

Dedicated to fostering the ideals of professional photography as a science and an art, the ASP was founded in 1937.

World Art Gallery opens

NISSWA - The World Art Gallery is now open at 25282 Hazelwood Drive in Nisswa. The current exhibit is "The Path Less Traveled," featuring items from Bali, Indonesia.
