Posted: Tuesday, August 09, 2005

AITKIN -- An Aitkin County jury Friday found a 40-year-old Palisade man guilty on three counts related to making methamphetamine.

Gregory Dean Graton was found guilty of three counts of first-degree controlled substance crime, two related to manufacturing and one for possession, Aitkin County Sheriff Scott Turner reported.

The jury returned its verdict after two days of testimony and five hours of deliberation, Turner said.

The charges against Graton stemmed from a March 11, 2003, search warrant executed by the sheriff's department and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

Graton is being held in the Aitkin County jail. His sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 29.
