Nathan Miller, son of Randy and Wendy Miller, Brainerd, has received a bachelor of arts degree in English from Crown College in St. Bonifacius. Miller is a 2000 graduate, summa cum laude, of Lake Region Christian High School. He was awarded the Delta Epsilon Chi and Honors Program Scholar awards. He also was named to the dean's list for spring semester.

Janice Olson, daughter of Larry and Miriam Olson, has received a bachelor of science degree in business administration and Christian education from Crown College in St. Bonifacius. She is a 1999 graduate of Pequot Lakes High School.

Daniel Holbrook, son of Thomas and Lynn Holbrook, Brainerd, was awarded the John F. McMahon Tuition Scholarship in German at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis. The $2,000 scholarship recognizes the most promising sophomore or junior German major. He is a 2001 graduate of Brainerd High School.

The following students received degrees from Hamline University's College of Liberal Arts during the spring semester: Nicole Marie Brausen, Brainerd, bachelor of arts in legal studies; Kari Leah Vacinek, Brainerd, bachelor of arts in psychology; Brenda Lee Frenz, Baxter, bachelor of arts, cum laude, German; Tameaka Ann Crocker, Baxter, bachelor of arts in philosophy; Jenna Jee Eun Kobes, Baxter, bachelor of arts, graduating cum laude in international studies; and Jane Maley Gelbmann, Brainerd, bachelor of arts, graduating cum laude with a major in political science.

Brittany S. Haglin, Baxter, was named to the dean's list for spring semester at Pacific Lutheran University.

Dustin Hjelmeland, Staples, was named to the president's academic list of top-ranking students for spring semester at Northern State University, Aberdeen, S.D.

Karen Greenwalt, daughter of Richard and Pearl Greenwalt, Baxter, has received a bachelor of arts degree in government from Lawrence University.

Peter Michael Erickson, son of Wayne and Margie Erickson, Brainerd, has been selected by Pensacola Christian College as one of the country's most outstanding campus leaders by Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. The honor is awarded to students who display outstanding achievements, not only in scholarly endeavors but who also participate and exercise leadership in extracurricular activities.
