The 20th annual Nimrod Jubilee Run will be conducted Aug. 31.

The 10-kilometer run and 5km run will begin at 8:30 a.m. in Stigman's Mound Park in Nimrod. Registration is from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. Pre-register by Aug. 26 for $8 or after Aug. 26 for $10.

Junior high cross country starts Aug. 26

The Washington-Franklin-Mississippi Horizons junior high boys' and girls' cross country running program will begin 3:45 p.m. Aug. 26 at the south end of the Brainerd High School football field.

In case of rain, the team will assemble outside the high school gym. Participants should come prepared to run.

All eligibility forms and participation fees must be completed before the first practice. Information may be obtained at Washington, Franklin or Mississippi Horizons schools. Athletes must bring the yellow participation slip to the coach before the first practice.

The junior high's first meet is 4:30 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Northland Arboretum.
