A recent letter writer accurately pointed out that Republicans are in favor of deregulation and that many of us pray for a better life where "you never die or pay taxes." I, for one, pray for a better life where you not only never die but where you may spend eternity free of socialist whiners demanding that big government take care of every problem, whether public and private.
As a matter of information, many of these socialist whiners can find such caring, big governments in China, North Korea, Cuba, or the former Soviet Union. In these idealistic countries, regulation is the rule rather than the exception. The whiners wouldn't need to waste their time thinking or writing letters to the editor since the party regulates and takes care of everything, including the number of children the whiners should have. Other socialist whiners can find a caring, big government right here in America where nearly half the population pays no tax but devotes its energy to complaining about the half that does.
Just imagine how great this country could have been if only we had had Mao, Marx, Lenin and Castro instead of Washington, Adams, Madison and Jefferson. We too could be enjoying that same quality of life our Communist friends so often risk their very lives to escape.
But it's not too late. Call your Senator and/or Representative. Say: "I want to give up every one of my God-given rights as defined in and guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America and become a fully regulated comrade of yours." The good news for the regulation buffs is that many of their elected officials have been working diligently for the past several decades at taking total control of their minds, bodies, souls and income.

So you decide to stack some firewood, both hands occupied and you think "I'm doing good." Then a mosquito lands. You can't do a thing, both hands are occupied; then the mosquito's in-laws and out-laws appear, and you think "maybe we should move to Alaska."
