Elaine M. Johnson
Elaine M. Johnson, age 92, resident of Brainerd, passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at Good Samaritan Village-Bethany. Elaine was born on Sept. 15, 1916, in Little Falls, Minn., to Carl (Charles) and Dorothy (Niemeyer) Eue. She married Ernest Clarence Johnson in December 1936 in Brainerd. Elaine worked at Hickerson Garment Factory for many years and then worked as a dental assistant to Dr. Lloyd Arhart, retiring in 1977. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Duane) Busbey, Black Canyon City, Ariz., and Joyce (Dennis) Sands, Baxter; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucille Bonsante, Denver, Colo., Luella Engholm, Brainerd, and Gretchen Hoggarth, Brainerd.
She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers; four sisters; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor David Holte officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the church.
