NISSWA - Work by Des Moines, Iowa, apparel artist Katy Ross will be featured and sold from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the Path Less Traveled gallery at 25282 Hazelwood Drive in Nisswa.
In 2005, Ross graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in apparel merchandising and design. The Nauti Girls line of T-shirts is her first offering as a professional and reflects her passion for water, boating and anything nautical.
The mermaid is Katy Ross' personal symbol of a passion for the lakes and a lifetime of summers spent in Minnesota. T-shirts by the artist will be featured and sold Friday in Nisswa.

People's Choice winners named
NISSWA - Sharon Peterson, David Rickert, Barbara Rischmiller-Brook and Diane Runberg won People's Choice awards at a recent Lakes Area Artists show at the Nisswa Community Center.
The next Lakes Area Artists show will be Oct. 17-18 at the Nisswa Community Center.
Runberg's work on display
CROSSLAKE - An exhibit of original paintings by Diane Runberg is now on display at the Crosslake Area Library. Runberg is a member of the Crosslake Art Club, Lakes Area Artists, the Crossing Arts Alliance, Encore Arts and the Jaques Art Gallery.
Her work can also be seen at the Crosslake Art Club show from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday-Saturday at the Crosslake Community Center and Library.
