Two fires reported

The Brainerd Fire Department received a report of what turned out to be a false alarm at 2410 Oak St. at 8:44 a.m. Friday.
Reports of smoke prompted a call to an apartment at Riverview Plaza at 500 N.W. Fourth St. at 8:54 p.m. Friday. The cause was food that had burned.
