BHS student joins state band

Brainerd High School student Jacquelynn Lentz was one of 567 students selected for a position in one of seven Minnesota Music Educators Association groups.

Lentz is a member of the MMEA All-State Symphonic Band. Paul Melby directs the BHS Symphonic Band.

Lentz is attending a summer camp through Saturday at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. A concert will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. In addition, the students will gather next February in Minneapolis for rehearsals and performances at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
