Thanks to an 8-4 win over Peoples Security, and a 6-6 tie between Dondelinger and GLS, the Bodyworks is back atop the men's twilight league at Pine Meadows.

Chris Bjornson and Bugs Schmidt won the blind partners game in the Pine Meadows women's golf league Aug. 1

Second place went to Jan Benson and Sue Bevans. Ceil Gorman-Judy Johnson and Eileen Henderson-Lois Person tied for third place.

Tammy Olson and Edie Ramp finished fifth while Doris Moede and Barb Owens were sixth.

The event for Aug. 8 is Ryder Cup.

Couples night

Ron and Bunny Oseland and Marcia and Dick MaCumber shot a 52 in the best-ball foursome with handicap at couples night at Pine Meadows Aug. 2

Chuck and Sandy O'Day and Rick and Ardell Cook shot a 55 for second while Ruth and Dale Tiedeman and Ron and Pam Dyson shot a 56 for third place.

Marcia MaCumber and Doris Moede each had chip-ins.

Couples night meets every Friday at 5:15 p.m.

American Cancer Society Pink Ribbon Classic

The American Cancer Society's first Pink Ribbon Golf Classic will take place at Whitebirch Golf Course at Breezy Point Aug. 13.

Proceeds will go to breast cancer research.

Registration begins at 7 a.m., followed by a light breakfast. The shotgun start begins at 8 a.m. Lunch and an awards ceremony will follow on the terrace.

Co-ed Golf outing

Laurel Mezner, Laurie Getz, Cate Knoll, Barb Elmquist and Carol Hendershott won the scramble event with a 1-under-par at the women's outing July 30 at the Lakes Course at Grand View Lodge.

Second place was a tie between the teams of Gloria Thomas, Thaila Duffield, Sue Van Ryn, Kathy Edmunds and Colleen Schneider and the team of Gloria Pierson, Marilyn Kostoryz, Rosie Light and Joanne Macko.

The next women's outing is 5:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at the Garden course at Grand View Lodge.

Birch Bay results

Linda Grussendorf of Baxter won the pink ball game with a score of 56 at the Birch Bay women's social golf outing July 29.

The group meets Mondays after 4:30 p.m. and Wednesday at 8 a.m.
