Marjorie 'Marge' Norum

Marjorie "Marge" Norum, age 87, resident of Brainerd, passed away peacefully on Aug. 2, 2010. at the Crosby Care Center. She was born on May 19, 1923, in Ogema, Wis., to Robert and Emma Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Glendon and Laverne Anderson and grandson, Darrel Reither.

She is survived by her loving husband, Alvin Norum; sons, Randall (Karen) Reither, Barry (Rosemary) Reither, and Leland (Laurie) Reither; six grandchildren, Lowell, Trevor, Steven, Alan, Eric and Kristin Reither; and 10 great grandchildren, Joe, Christopher, Matthew, Allison, Nicholas, Sophia, Karson, Dalton, Kaitlin and Anna Reither.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church, a life long member of the Legion and VFW auxiliary and the Danish Sisterhood. Her hobbies include, collecting cookbooks, rosemaling, rubber stamping, stationary decorating, gardening and all kinds of needlework.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.

Services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Nate Lundgren officiating. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the church.
