LaToya A. M. Burks

LaToya Addessa Marie Burks and unborn son, Andrais Charfauros, died on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007.

LaToya was born in Brainerd on Dec. 20, 1985, to Tina M. (Burks) Stuart and Phillip R. Webb of Kansas. LaToya had one child, a daughter, the beautiful Anton Marie Charfauros. She grew up in Brainerd where she went to grade school, then later moved to Lawrence, Kan., to live with her Grandmother Rose and then lived with her Aunt Tawnia in Fort Knox, Ken., and Manhattan, Kan., where she later attended Flint Hills Job Corps.

She is survived by her daughter, Anton Marie Charfauros of Brainerd, Minn.; her parents, Tina (Burks) Stuart of Brainerd, Minn., and Phillip R. Webb of Wichita, Kan.; brothers, Nick Stuart of Brainerd, Minn., Pvt. Steve Machell of Fort Polk, La., Trever and John Machell of Manhattan, Kan.; sisters, Aly Stuart of Brainerd, Minn., Nikki Webb of Burlington, Kan., Alyssa Webb of El Dorado, Kan., Skylar Webb of Manhattan, Kan., and Jenea Webb of Goddard, Kan.; grandparents, Rose M. Singh of Manhattan, Kan., Joy Brown of Wichita, Kan., and Philix Charfauros of Sea Side, Calif.; lots of aunts and uncles, Adam and Tawnia (Burks) Machell of Manhattan, Kan., Kenneth and Tressa Acres of Hattiesburg, Kan., Robert and Wendy Palacio of Suffolk, Va., and Joseph and Bobbie Palacio of Bonner Springs, Kan.; and 12 cousins.

Services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Lakewood Evangelical Free Church in Brainerd with Pastor Dan Werthman officiating. Friends may call Monday, Aug. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at the Lakewood Evangelical Free Church and one hour prior to services.

Arrangements will be with Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd.
