Crosslake Days offer various events

CROSSLAKE -- Crosslake Days continue today through Sunday in Crosslake. Following is a list of events.

Thursday

10 a.m. -- Yarn spinning at Stone Creek Craft Supplies.

1 p.m. -- Soap-making demonstration at Stone Creek Craft Supplies.

1-3 p.m. -- Artist Katherine Rutt at Lakes Area Gallery and Frame Shoppe.

2 p.m. -- Ice cream eating contest and marshmallow shooting contest (fee; all ages) at Lake Country Crafts and Cones.

6 p.m. -- Junior mini golf tournament ($3 fee; ages 17 and under) at Crosslake Mini Golf.

Thursday-Saturday

10 a.m.-5 p.m. -- 19th annual Art Show at Crosslake Community Center.

Friday

9-9:30 a.m. -- Stepping stone class (call to register) at Stone Creek Craft Supplies.

9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. -- Memories of the past, try on hats from the late 1800s and 1900s at Willow Bay.

10 a.m. -- Quilting basics using rotary cutters and acrylic rulers at Stone Creek Craft Supplies.

11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. -- Brat cook-out, register to win prizes at Crosslake Medical Supply.

1-4 p.m. -- Joy Noble soap-making demonstration at Lake Country Crafts and Cones.

2 p.m. -- Demo on how to use Deco Arts liquid rainbow to make window clings/glass art at Stone Creek Craft Supplies.

Saturday

9-10 a.m. -- Krafty Kids Club, wire art or rustic tin frame ($8 fee; pre-register) at Stone Creek Craft Supplies.

9 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Tent sale at Crosslake Drug.

9 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Open house at Crosslake Communications.

9 a.m.-3 p.m. -- Arts, crafts, bake sale and car wash at Immaculate Heart Church.

10 a.m.-2 p.m. -- Free face painting at Lakes Area Gallery and Frame Shoppe.

11 a.m.-2 p.m. -- Classic car show at The Exchange Nightclub.

11 a.m.-2 p.m. -- Sheila Lee Elstad folk painting.

Noon -- 17th annual chili cook-off. Taste free samples of chili at various Crosslake businesses and vote for the best one from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Information Center. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three businesses in the general contest, and the top two businesses in the people's choice contest.

12:30 p.m. -- Donna Dewberry's one-stroke painting by Renne Alden ($8 fee plus brushes; pre-register; free if only watching) at Stone Creek Craft Supplies.

1 p.m. -- Cray fish races (fish supplied) at Prudential Hedman Realty.

Sunday

11 a.m.-4 p.m. -- 11th annual Artisan's Fair at Crosslake Historic Log Village.
