Bonsante loses title fight

MONTREAL - Adonis Stevenson of Canada stopped Crosby-Ironton High School graduate Anthony "The Bullet" Bonsante of Shakopee in the first round in a scheduled 12-round bout for the WBC Continental Americas super middleweight title Friday night.
Bonsante (31-10-3) is scheduled to box Sept. 20 at Treasure Island Casino.
Stevenson defended his title and improved his record to 11-0 with nine knockouts.
Cold Spring wins title
BEMIDJI - Cold Spring defeated the St. Cloud 76ers 10-5 on Saturday to capture the District 6 Division I Legion baseball championship.
Both teams advance to the Division I state tournament, which begins Thursday in Burnsville.
