Operation Round Up donations distributed

The Crow Wing Power Community Trust Board donated more than $54,000 to area community programs during a July meeting.

Operation Round-Up funds were distributed to the following projects: $1,500 to Family Links, Brainerd; $1,500 to Bridges of Hope, Brainerd; $1,000 to Legionville Camp, Brainerd; $1,000 to Youth Investment, Timber Bay, Nisswa; $1,000 to Fast Cop, Ironton; $600 to American Red Cross, Brainerd; $1,000 to Youth as Resources, Brainerd; $1,500 to Bay Lake Area Lions Charities, Deerwood; $2,000 to Crisis Line and Referral Service, Brainerd; $1,000 to Lutheran Social Service Caregiver Support and Respite, Crosslake; $2,500 to Cuyuna Range Youth Center, Crosby; $2,500 to Pine River First Responders; $1,000 to Pequot Lakes Fire Dept.; $1,500 to Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity, Brainerd; $2,000 to Lakes Area Restorative Justice Project, Pequot Lakes; $250 to Child Care Choices, Crow Wing and Morrison counties; $1,000 to PORT Group Homes, Brainerd; $1,500 to Outing Quick Response; $1,000 to Northern Pines Mental Health, Brainerd; $1,500 to Outing Volunteer Library; $500 to The Crossing Arts Alliance, Brainerd; $1,000 to Paul Bunyan Nature Learning Center, Brainerd; $500 to Longville Lakes Arts Alliance; $300 to Children's Concert Fund, Brainerd; $3,000 to Bridges Program, Little Falls; $3,000 to LAKES Media Collaborative, Brainerd; $2,000 to Bridges Workplace Connection, Brainerd; $2,000 to Crosslake Community School; $2,000 to Brainerd After School Program; $3,000 to Pine River/Backus Family Center; $500 to Greater Lakes Area Performing Arts, Pequot Lakes; $500 to School District 186, Eclipse Teen Center, Pequot Lakes; $500 to Emily Charter School; $2,500 to Pine River/Backus Emergency Medical Ed; $500 to Eagleview Elementary, Pequot Lakes; $500 to Pequot Lakes School District 186; and $5,000 to Private Cooperative Member Crisis Medical Support.

Operation Round Up is funded by participating members of Crow Wing Power who allow the cooperative to round up their electric bills to the nearest whole dollar. The additional change is pooled and distributed quarterly. Since the program's inception in late 1996, Round Up has donated more than $1,315,000 to community projects and programs in Cass, Crow Wing and Morrison counties.
