Celebrate Crosslake Days events start Saturday

CROSSLAKE -- Celebrate Crosslake Days will run Saturday through Aug. 15 with a variety of crafts, events and activities for children and adults. Events include:

Saturday

* 7 a.m. -- Junior golf tournament: $15 fee, ages 17 and under, 7 a.m. registration, 8 a.m. start, Crosswoods Golf Course.

* 8 a.m.-3 p.m. -- Garage sale and flea market, Mission of the Cross Church.

* 8:30 a.m. -- Crosslake Dam Run 10K & 5K Run/Walk: $15 pre-registration and $20 registration, Crosslake Town Square.

Sunday

* 6 a.m.-4:30 p.m. -- Gander Mountain Fishing Tournament: 6 a.m. blast-off, 2 p.m. weigh-in, 4:30 p.m. awards, Moonlite Bay.

Tuesday

* 2 and 7:30 p.m. -- Scheers Lumberjack Shows, AmericInn, Jenkins.

Aug. 11

* All day -- Mini-golf tournament: $5.95 for 13+ and $4.95 for ages 4-12, Wildwedge Family Golf Park.

* 2 and 7:30 p.m. -- Scheers Lumberjack Shows, AmericInn, Jenkins.

Aug. 12

* 2 p.m. -- Scheers Lumberjack Shows, AmericInn, Jenkins.

* 5-7 p.m. -- Artist Katherine Rutt demonstrating water color, Lakes Area Gallery and Frame Shoppe.

Aug. 12-14

* 10 a.m.-5 p.m. -- 20th annual art show, Crosslake Community Center.

Aug. 13

* 9 a.m.-4 p.m. -- Crosslake Library fund-raiser, Crosslake Community Center.

* 6 p.m. -- Second annual Tiki Golf Funfest: $35 fee, four-person scramble, 9 holes daylight, 9 holes night golf, Crosswoods Golf Course.

Aug. 14

* 9 a.m. -- Junior golf tournament: fee, prizes include tickets to Valley Fair, Camp Snoopy and more, Wildwedge Family Golf Park.

* 9 a.m.-2 p.m. -- Crosslake Library fund-raiser, Crosslake Community Center.

* 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. -- Craft, produce and bake sale, Immaculate Heart Church.

* 10 a.m. -- Junior mini golf tournament: $4.50 fee, ages 17 and under, Whistling Wolf Mini Golf.

* 9 a.m.-3 p.m. -- Classic Car Show, People's Choice Awards at 2 p.m., The New Exchange Nightclub.

* 11 a.m.-2 p.m. -- Sheila Elstad folk painting demo, Lake Country Crafts and Cones.

* Noon -- 18th annual Chili Cook-Off, Crosslake businesses.

Aug. 15

* 9 a.m.-4 p.m. -- 12th annual Artisan's Fair, Crosslake Historic Log Village.

* 8 a.m.-noon -- Pancake breakfast, $5, children under 5 free, Immaculate Heart Church.
