Cass to hold a meeting about JOBZ changes

PINE RIVER -- Cass County Economic Development Corp. will sponsor an informational meeting to update the county, cities, towns and interested developers on changes the state has made to the JOBZ program application and approval process.
The meeting will be 9 to 10:30 a.m. Aug. 17 at the Community Resource Center in Pine River, two blocks east of the Highway 371 stop light on Barclay Avenue.
There will be an update on the county's JOBZ projects, recent program changes, marketing efforts, business subsidy policy progress, city MnPRO assistance, JOBZ fees, annual reports for JOBZ businesses and a discussion of who is responsible for specific aspects of JOBZ.
The public is welcome to attend.
