One injured after crashing vehicle during pursuit

A 28-year-old man was injured about 6:47 p.m. Saturday when his vehicle left the roadway on Riverside Drive north of Brainerd, the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department reported.

The man was being pursued by various law enforcement agencies after it was reported he had threatened suicide. The pursuit was started by the State Patrol about 5:30 p.m. in Baxter.

The man was transported by North Ambulance to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, where Tuesday he was reported in fair condition.

The Brainerd Fire Department assisted at the scene of the crash.

Conroy still in critical condition

Christopher Conroy, a 19-year-old Brainerd man who was injured in a two-vehicle collision Sunday near South Long Lake that resulted in one death and four others injured, remained in critical condition Tuesday at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

Conroy was injured after the vehicle in which he was a passenger collided with a pickup at Crow Wing County Roads 22 and 23.
