Sigrid Lund-Nichols

Sigrid Lund-Nichols, 99, Brainerd, died Friday, July 30, 2004, at Woodland Good Samaritan Village.

She was born Aug. 5, 1904, in Brainerd to Frank and Efrusina (Eliason) Lund.

She was a legal secretary for Swanson-Swanson of Brainerd for 19 years and then a steno clerk for Burlington Northern Railroad for 25 years until she retired. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Brainerd.

She is survived by two nieces, Kathleen Jokela, of Brainerd, and Jean Palmer, of Mequon, Wis.; three nephews, R. Michael Lund, of Brainerd, Spencer Hollstadt, of St. Paul, and Dennis Hollstadt, of Lakeville, Minn.; and a friend, Beverly Wicklund, of Brainerd.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Nichols.

Services were Monday at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Kristin Kelsey officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.

Arrangements were with Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home.
