BREEZY POINT -- Trygve O. Albertson, 83, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2004, at his home in Breezy Point.
He was born on May 28, 1921, in Brainerd to Ole and Theresa Albertson. Trygve retired in 1983 after 37 years of service with Crow Wing Power. He was a veteran of World War II and a long-term member of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley (Folsom) Albertson, of Breezy Point; his son, Michael Albertson, of Pillager; his daughter, Theresa Hurd, of Merrifield; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his brother, William (Lorraine) Albertson, of Geneva, Fla.; and sister, Murrel (Harold) Clevenger, of Kennewick, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.
Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Mark Skinner officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd on Friday, Aug. 6, at 10 a.m. Military rites will be by VFW Post No. 1647. Friends may call on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, from 5-8 p.m. at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home.
