Minnesota singer-songwriter Ann Marie Lubovich is the featured artist at Sunday's Concerts in the Park series in Little Falls. Show time is 4 p.m. in Maple Island Park downtown.
A native of the Iron Range, Lubovich plays regularly at coffeehouses and festivals across the Upper Midwest, appearing at the Two Harbors Folk Festival, the Bob Dylan Festival and many others.
She has studied piano and voice but taught herself how to play the guitar, mandolin, accordion and harmonica, according to the Great River Arts Association, which sponsors the free summer concert series.
"Her strong yet soothing vocals combined with her intricate finger picking give an intimacy to her thought-provoking lyrics," GRAA said in a recent news release.
Lubovich recently released her first CD, "Under the Northern Lights," a compilation of nine original songs. The album has received airtime on public and college radio stations across the state, the release said.
