A Brainerd School Board Committee recommended a draft plan setting up one of the most wide ranging citizen advisory committees in school history. It will also, the committee was told, cost between $23,000 and $30,000 to implement.

Land O' Lakes, Inc. has purchased 3 1/2 acres of land in the Brainerd Industrial Park and will construct a new building there to house its entire operation. The announcement was made by Harold Spielmann, manager of the plant in Brainerd.

One of the swellest social events chronicled in the city for some time occurred on Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Joseph Slipp when she, Mrs. Milton McFadden, Mrs. Joseph Howe, Mrs. Chas. Thompson and Mrs. Hollenbeck gave coffee to their lady friends.
