Found guilty WALKER -- Cass County jurors deliberated a day and a half before finding Richard James Littlewolf Jr., 18, Walker, guilty of three drive-by shooting counts.
There was a hung jury on six more counts, including two each of attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault.
District Judge Michael J. Haas, who presided at the trial, has ordered an Aug. 18 hearing "for determination of an order upon verdict," according to court minutes from the trial. No presentence investigation was ordered. Littlewolf was accused of being a rear-seat passenger in a vehicle Jan. 29 from which shots were fired at a house in Onigum east of Walker and later at two men in another vehicle. Both victims suffered facial and eye injuries as a result of shotgun fire. It took two days to select jurors July 18 and 19. The jury heard testimony from July 19 through 27. They retired to deliberate shortly after noon July 27, recessed overnight, then continued deliberating until 2:30 p.m. July 28.
