The Paul Bunyan Playhouse's 52nd summer professional theater season is winding down in Bemidji with a weekend run of the romantic comedy "Sylvia" and the season-concluding production of "The Wizard of Oz" Aug. 7-23.

Choral music fans will be in seventh heaven with a plethora of free concerts, starting Sunday both here and in the Twin Cities.
The A Cappella Alumni Summer Chorale, featuring Brainerd High School graduates of all ages, will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa.
Sunday also marks the opening of a series of 60 free and ticketed concerts by choral groups participating in the International Choral Festival in the Twin Cities. The Aitkin County Fair will run through Friday at the Aitkin County Fairgrounds. Events include the midway today and Friday, as well as the demolition derby Friday.
