Ervin V. Meyer, age 83, resident of Brainerd, and Casa Grande, Ariz., died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at his home in Brainerd. Ervin was born Feb. 14, 1922, in Pierz, Minn., to Michael and Catherine (Stapel) Meyer. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Philippines. He married Janet Block on March 31, 1948. He was the executive housekeeper at the Minnesota State Regional Hospital and retired in January of 1985. Ervin was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the VFW.

John A. Christianson, age 64, resident of Brainerd, formerly of Pequot Lakes, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. John was born on Aug. 15, 1940, in Edgerton, Wis., to Lawrence and Irene (Simpson) Christianson.

SHIRLEY, Mass. -- Patricia Lois Warner, of Shirley, Mass., died July 6, 2005. Born in Regan, N.D., on Oct. 12, 1926, Pat was the daughter of Elsie Mae and Harry Worden, now deceased. At 10 years of age, she moved with her family to Brainerd, Minn. There she met, and subsequently married, Roy D. Warner, who survives her. They were married for 59 years and eight months to the day. Although they ultimately settled in Shirley, where they resided for the past 45 years, Roy's military career had taken them to places around the world. In the course of her life, Pat and her husband lived in California, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina and Washington, as well as Germany and Okinawa. Along the way, they had four children, each born in a different state or country. A high school graduate at 16, Pat attended the University of Minnesota before marrying Roy in November 1945. Her hobbies include gardening, reading and birding, with a particular interest in cardinals. Although she occasionally worked outside the home as a telephone switchboard operator and later as an office manager, her children were the center of her life and she devoted almost all her time and energy to raising and caring for them. Three of the children graduated from college and the fourth, Thomas Bradley, was attending Amherst College when he died at the age of 21. Her only daughter, Patricia Rose, succumbed to a heart attack in 2002, at the age of 52.

SEAL BEACH, Calif. -- The Rev. Robert F. Pomeroy died in Seal Beach, Calif., on Dec. 26, 2004. He was 80 years old and a longtime resident of Lake Shore, Minn. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, their five children and seven grandchildren.
