Leona L. Jensen

DEERWOOD -- Leona Lou Jensen, age 52 of Deerwood, died on Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tenn. She was born on Oct. 18, 1951, in Cook, Minn., to Sidney and Mary Lou (Gregor) Sutton. She was a lieutenant with the Crow Wing County Mounted Patrol. She was a member of the Double "S" Saddle Club and the National Appaloosa Horse Association.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Cheryl Vessel of Canton, Ga.; mother Mary Lou Sutton of Deerwood; two brothers, Sid Jr. (Faye) Sutton of Shafer, Minn., and Alex (Donna) Sutton of Emily; a sister, Cindy (Rich O'Neil) Sutton of Aitkin; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Taylor; nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
