ST. PAUL (AP) -- A woman charged with making death threats against Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Kathleen Blatz was found incompetent to stand trial and must undergo further psychiatric examination.
Sheila M. Sullivan does not understand the court proceedings and cannot participate in her own defense, a psychiatrist said in a report to Ramsey County District Judge John Finley.
On Tuesday, Finley ordered that Sullivan must undergo further examination to determine whether she understood the nature of the acts that led to the criminal charges against her. Her next court appearance was set for Oct. 11.
