ST. PAUL -- Delphie A. Schultz, 90, St. Paul, formerly of Pillager, died Saturday, July 27, 2002, in St. Paul.
She was born in 1911 in Chicago to Peter and Emilie Anderson. She graduated from Pillager High School. She moved to Michigan in the 1930s, where she and her husband, Harold, became top breeders of cocker spaniel show dogs. Har-Dee's Hell Bender and High Spirit were two of the nation's champion show dogs in the 1950s.
Survivors include two nephews, John Ferguson, Brainerd, and Charles Ferguson, Burnsville; two great-nieces, Kari Jo Ferguson, St. Paul, and Michelle Veith, Brainerd; and a great-grand nephew, Preston Veith, Brainerd.
Her husband, Harold Schultz, and two sisters, Thelma Anderson and Josephine Ferguson, died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd with Pastor Jennifer Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager. Memorials are preferred to Paws with a Cause, 4646 S. Division, Wayland, Mich., 49348, or donor's choice.
Friends may call an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
