Bees snap losing streak

The Brainerd Bees stopped a 10-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over the Bemidji Mudcats in exhibition amateur baseball Tuesday.

Kevin Peterson was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, including a 2-run single and a bases-loaded walk.

Tate Rusk was 2-5 with a double and two runs, Kyle Crocker 2-5, Joel Martin 1-5 with two runs and Jaron Hanson 1-3 with an RBI.

Chris Smolke pitched all nine innings for the win. He allowed eight hits and two earned runs, struck out two and walked three.
