Myrna L. Forbes
Myrna Lucille Forbes, 86, Brainerd, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. She was born on Oct. 6, 1922, in Lake Benton, Minn., to Peter and Annie Amanda (Hansen) Petersen.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Shelly (Roger) Anderson; her son, Scott (Lynae) Forbes; daughter-in-law, Kathy Forbes; and many very dear grandchildren; great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maynard; daughter, Susan Sodergren; and son, Steve Forbes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
We were blessed to have her in our lives and will celebrate that on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at 6 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Brainerd with Pastor George Buchin officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery in north Minneapolis. There will also be a visitation and prayer service at the Crystal Lake Cemetery at Dowling and Penn Ave., north Minneapolis, on Friday, July 31, 2009, from 3-5 p.m.
