GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Baxter captured the Midwest 11-U Cal Ripken regional baseball championship Sunday with a 5-1 victory over Scott County, Mo., at Apollo Field.
Baxter won all four of its games, outscoring the opposition 29-7.
Thomas Stoxen went 2-for-3 and hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the Baxter first.
Baxter's Drew Sannes and Chris Pohlkamp combined to pitch a one-hitter and gave up no earned runs.
Sannes got the win. In four innings he struck out five, walked none and allowed one hit. Pohlkamp pitched two innings, allowing no runs, no hits, no walks and striking out three.
Baxter's Cole Smith was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs, Pohlkamp was 1-3 with a triple, Grant Reuer 2-3 with a run, Sannes went 2-3 and Griffin Campbell was 1-2 with a run and walk.
Baxter finishes 26-3.

Logan McElfresh went 3-for-3 with a double and two runs to help Baxter advance to the championship game.
Winning pitcher Griffin Campbell went four innings, striking out seven and giving up five hits.
Reliever Drew Sannes pitched two innings, striking out four and allowing one hit.
Cole Smith, Sannes and Blaine Grater were all 1-2, Conner Gessell was 1-3 and pinch hitter T.J. Graumann was 1-1.
