CROSBY -- Norman John Hendrickson, age 81, of Crosby, died on Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center. He was born on July 11, 1923, in Aitkin to John and Elna (Anderson) Hendrickson. He married Marilyn Jean Carlson on May 28, 1950, in Aitkin. He was a WWII Army veteran. He was retired employee with Pioneer Northern, United and Sprint Telephone companies with 27 years of service. He was a member of the Myrin James American Legion Post No. 443 of Ironton and the Cascade United Methodist Church, Deerwood. He also was a member of the Cuyuna Range Lions and a Melvin Jones Fellow.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; three sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Judi Hendrickson of Brainerd, John and Sue Hendrickson of Minot, N.D., and Carl and Mickey Hendrickson of Baxter; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Wayne Pacyga of Brooklyn Park; a sister, Ada Dayton of Rialto, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren, and three sisters, Betty Hendrickson, Margaret Thomas and Irma Kurtz.
A private family service is being held. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. If so desired, memorials are preferred to the Cascade United Methodist Church.
