Author to be at E-Squared Cafe

Author Candace Simar will make an appearance from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at the E-Squared Caf in Brainerd. Simar will be signing her latest novel, Pomme de Terre. Pomme de Terre, released by North Star Press of St. Cloud in June, tells the story of a young couple who move to western Minnesota directly after the Sioux Uprising, when it is supposed to be over. Pomme de Terre continues the story Candance began in her debut historical novel, Abercrombie Trail, released last summer.
Following the book signing at 8 p.m., there will be a live performance by the Minneapolis band Murzik.
