Much obliged

Encore Arts Association would like to thank everyone responsible for the success of the second annual Art in the Gardens event.

Many people worked very hard and were extremely giving of their time and resources. As with last year, three area gardeners

graciously allowed the public to be invited onto their property to enjoy the

unique and special environment created by each -- all very complimentary to an art display. Lyle Ford, Arlo and Phyllis Frankum, and Bruce and Cynthia Thompson are the special gardeners so deserving of our gratitude.

Musicians ready and able to provide a perfect background atmosphere through their special talents were Carol Harrison, harp; Barbara Sjoblad, Flute, Donna Gottsch, Flute, and Scott Lykins , keyboard.

Because of rain on the original date of June 25, the event was reorganized and held on July 9. Encore Arts Association only rescheduled after receiving requests to do so. In the process of reorganization, the event was narrowed to one garden and one musician.

However, all parties named above had prepared for their special roles and are so deserving of special appreciation. One musician had agreed to participate with only a few hours of notice when a conflict of schedule presented itself to an original participant.

The artists who put so much effort into making this event possible also need to receive a round of applause. Several of them demonstrated their creative abilities by working on site, in addition to presenting finished items for viewing and sale. And we thank you, the public, for taking the time from your busy schedule to kick back and stroll through the flowers, foliage, and visual art, for an experience that we hope stimulated all five of your senses.
