Adam Yezek was born on March 5, 1987, in Ansbach, Germany. He traveled extensively with his family while growing up, eventually settling in Brainerd. Here he graduated high school in 2005 and CLC College in 2008 with high honors. He met many friends with whom he loved to spend time, along with his family.
Some of his favorite things included BMX biking, snowboarding, music and poetry, hanging with friends, tattoos, cars, welding, various father-son projects, and mostly, driving his motorcycle. It was while driving his motorcycle on Friday, July 24, 2009, on a beautiful summer evening, that Adam tragically lost his life.
Adam is survived by his wife, Jamie Yezek (Christensen), 21; his parents, David, 49, and In Suk Yezek (Kwak), 53; his brother, Kevin 24; his grandmother, Pearl Yezek (Hines), 88; and a large number of close and personal friends.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. at South Long Lake Presbyterian Church, 6768 Church Road Southeast, Brainerd. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home, 703 Oak Street, Brainerd, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
