A 90-year-old Oakdale man was killed in a two-vehicle accident Monday on Highway 200 at the Highway 64 intersection in Hubbard County, the State Patrol reported.
Lawrence Haas, 90, Oakdale, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt. He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Dorothy Stokke, 81, Baxter. Stokke suffered injuries in the crash and was transported to North Country Hospital in Bemidji where she was listed in fair condition.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 38-year-old Fargo man, was not injured.
The 38-year-old driver was turning west on Highway 200 and failed to yield the right-of-way to Stokke, broadsiding the Stokke car. The driver was under the influence of alcohol, according to the State Patrol.
The accident was reported at 2:11 p.m. Monday.
