MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Minnesota Lynx guard Katie Smith wanted the victory more than the milestone.
Smith became the second-fastest player in WNBA history to reach 1,500 career points, but the Lynx lost for the 10th time in 12 games, 62-60 to the Washington Mystics.
"Those (1,500 points) are just numbers," Smith said. "They don't mean a whole lot."
Chamique Holdsclaw's layup with 4.2 seconds to play provided the final margin as the Mystics blew a 19-point first-half lead before rallying to win.
