Brainerd splits, will face LF in tourney

COLD SPRING - After losing 3-2 to St. Cloud East, Brainerd bounced back to defeat Sartell 7-5 in the District 6 tournament Monday.

Blake Peterson pitched a complete game for Brainerd striking and surrendered just one earned run against St. Cloud East in the opening loss.

T.J. Graumann relieved Josh Davis in the third inning Game Two win, while Dan Rhoda and Blake Thiesse each had doubles for Brainerd while Tyler Lenz went 2-4 from the plate.

Brainerd will face Little Falls at 11 a.m. on Tuesday with the winner facing off against St. Cloud East and St. Cloud Blue at 4 p.m.
