Paint-A-Thon set for Aug. 7 in Morrison County

LITTLE FALLS - The annual Oasis/Share A Meal Community Paint-A-Thon is scheduled Aug. 7, with a kickoff breakfast at 6:45 a.m. at First United Church in Little Falls.

Seven homes will be painted, five in Little Falls and two in Swanville. There are 15 teams and teams from Little Falls are First Lutheran Church, the Michael Osberg Memorial Team, Thrivent, Our Lady of Lourdes Church/Adam Bobick Memorial Team, Little Falls School District teachers, Little Falls Key Club, St. Mary's Church, First United Church, Grave Convenant Church and Ace Hardware. Other teams are Swanville Lions Club, Gethsemane Lutheran and Community Covenant Churches of Upsala, the Upsala Lions Club and Bethany Church of Cushing.

The teams will paint the exteriors of the homes and provide fix-up for the homes at no cost to the homeowner. The cost of fix-up will be covered by grants received from Kopp Family Foundation, Crow Wing Trust, the Little Falls Kiwanis, Telecom Communication and ECM Publisher (Morrison County Record.)

Each volunteer will receive a free T-shirt. This year the cost of the shirts is being paid for by the Lincoln Area Business Association and the Little Falls, Swanville, Randall and Upsala Lions clubs.
